Contest
We have some great selections for District and State 2024 this year. Some of my favorites on this list include the flittering "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Rimsky-Korsakov, the lively march "Semper Fidelis" by John Philip Sousa, and a song about a cricket -- "El Grillo" by Josquin des Prez.

As always, the official resource for this contest is the UIL Music Memory Passport, which will be available from UIL in August 2023. (Use the PSIA Handbook for list of rules and scoring.)

PSIA Music Memory is offered for Grades 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8. Grades 7/8 use the extended list with 20 selections; all others use the first 16 selections only.

The "official" selections are in the Spotify playlist. The YouTube selections are very close to the Spotify selections, but not exact. In fact, some are live performances. The YouTube playlists were created for those who have problems accessing the Spotify list, especially on mobile devices. You should be able to use either one for preparation, but the audio clips for the test will come from Spotify.
